Beschrijving	T3 (Triiodothyronine) is een schildklierhormoon dat verschillende fysiologische processen in het lichaam beïnvloedt, waaronder groei en ontwikkeling, Metabolism, lichaamstemperatuur en hartslag.Dit product is oplosbaar, maar slaat gemakkelijk neer na invriezen in DMSO. 0.1 M NaOH wordt aanbevolen als stamoplossing.
In vitro	T3 (Triiodothyronine) is een ingrediënt dat aan het medium wordt toegevoegd voor het induceren van de differentiatie van bruine adipocyten.

The cells were cultured in DMEM/F12 containing 10% fetal bovine serum and 2% penicillin/streptomycin and placed in an incubator (5% CO₂, 37°C). Until 100% confluence, DMEM/F12 was supplemented with 2% FBS containing 5 μg/ml of insulin, 0.5 mM IBMX, and 2 nM T3 (Triiodothyronine) to induce brown adipocytes differentiation. Two days later, the induced medium was changed to a maintenance medium (DMEM/F12 supplemented with 2% FBS, 5 μg/ml of insulin, and 2 nM of this compound). SiAMPKα (GAAGAGAAATTCAGAACCT)15 were transfected by Lipofectamine 3000. Lipid droplets were stained using Oil Red O solution.
