Topotecan (NSC609699, Nogitecan, SKFS 104864A) is een antineoplastisch middel dat wordt gebruikt voor de behandeling van eierstokkanker en werkt door DNA-topoisomerasen te remmen.

Topotecan vertoont remming van de uitgroei van de sterk invasieve en migrerende leidercel (LC) populatie, echter, Topotecan verrijkt de LC-subgroep met 20% boven het onbehandelde controleniveau.

In vivo

Topotecan (TPT), althans gedeeltelijk door de expressie van Fli-1 te remmen, verbetert significant lupusnefritis bij NZBWF1-muizen even effectief of beter dan cyclofosfamide (CYC).
