Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving Roxadustat (FG-4592) is een HIF-α prolyl hydroxylase remmer in een celvrije test, stabiliseert HIF-2 en induceert EPO-productie. Deze verbinding versterkt ook de RSL3-geïnduceerde ferroptosis. Fase 3.
In vitro

Roxadustat (FG-4592) is een orale remmer van hypoxie-induceerbare factor (HIF) prolyl hydroxylase, momenteel in klinische ontwikkeling voor de behandeling van anemie. Het stabiliseert de activiteiten van HIF, een cytosolische transcriptiefactor, wat leidt tot activering van de genen geassocieerd met erytropoëse, inclusief erytropoëtine en enzymen betrokken bij ijzermetabolisme.

In vivo

Roxadustat (FG-4592) (50 mg/kg; i.p.; dagelijks gedurende 7 dagen) beschermt het overleven van motorneuronen en verbetert het herstel na ruggenmergletsel.
