Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving	Lithium Chloride (LiCl) remt de replicatie van type 1 en type 2 Herpes simplex-virus bij concentraties die gastheercelreplicatie mogelijk maakten. Lithium chloride voorkomt ook glucocorticoïde-geïnduceerde osteonecrose van femorale koppen en versterkt de mesenchymale stamcelactiviteit bij ratten. Lithium Chloride kan worden gebruikt om diermodellen van chronische epilepsie te induceren.
