Brusatol veroorzaakt een snelle en voorbijgaande uitputting van het Nrf2-eiwit, via een posttranscriptioneel mechanisme, in muis Hepa-1c1c7 hepatomacellen en vers geïsoleerde primaire menselijke hepatocyten .
In vivo

Brusatol remt de Nrf2-signalering, vermindert de tumorlast en verbetert de chemoresistentie in zowel in vitro als in vivo kankermodellen.
