Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving	Bromopyruvic acid (3-BP) is een hexokinase II-remmer met een Ki van 2,4 mM voor glycolyse/hexokinase-remming. Het is een remmer van het energiemetabolisme van tumorcellen en een chemopotentiatie van platina medicijnen.
In vitro	Bromopyruvic acid, een glycolyseremmer, handhaaft tot op zekere hoogte de haploïdie in zowel OdG- als EG1 haESC's, zonder effect op de proliferatie of pluripotentie van de haESC's.
In vivo	Bromopyruvic acid vermindert de groei van RKO-cellen met CD36-knockdown in een significant langzamer tempo in het xenograftmodel.
