Beschrijving Dihydromyricetin (Ampelopsin, Ampeloptin) is een natuurlijke antioxidantflavonoïde uit Ampelopsis grossedentata.
Doelen
GABAA receptor
In vitro Dihydromyricetin vertoont antioxidantactiviteit als een effectieve vanger van 1,1-difenyl-2-picrylhydrazylradicaal (DPPH). Het remt ook de toename van lipideperoxidatie (LPO)-waarden in het linolzuursysteem, gekatalyseerd door FeSO4-edetinezuur. DHM (1 μM) als een nieuw anti-alcoholintoxicatiemedicijn antagoniseert zowel acute EtOH-geïnduceerde potentiëring van GABA(A)Rs als EtOH-blootstelling/ontwenningsgeïnduceerde GABA(A)R-plasticiteit en verhoogt de GABA(A)R alfa4-subeenheidexpressie in de hippocampus en gekweekte neuronen.
In vivo Dihydromyricetin (1 mg/kg, i.p.) gaat acute alcohol (EtOH) intoxicatie tegen, evenals ontwenningsverschijnselen bij ratten, waaronder tolerantie, verhoogde angst en toevallen. LD50: Muizen 1.41g/kg (i.p.)
