Beschrijving ACSS2 inhibitor is de meest potente en specifieke remmer van acetaat-afhankelijke acetyl-CoA synthetase 2 (ACSS2). ACSS2 inhibitor remt ook het respiratoir syncytieel virus (RSV).

Deze chinoxalineverbinding remt het vermogen van HepG2-cellen om [14C]acetaat in lipiden op te nemen met IC50 = 6,8 μM. Deze chemische stof kan ook de HepG2-benutting van [14C]acetaat voor histonacetylering remmen met IC50 = 5,5 μM.
